<The Poem Thief > (2015) consists of a short film, a photo novel, and a text collage. Set in Koganecho, Yokohama, Japan, this work takes the historical context of the location as a crucial motif. Once notorious for drug trafficking and prostitution. Koganecho has since been transformed into an artist district. The short film of the same title portrays the life of a thief and artist who creates poetry by collaging stolen books from bookstores. The photo series A Cold Case file is composed of images set in Koganecho, where the photographs resemble pieces of evidence from an imagined romantic incident. In 2025, exactly ten years after leaving Koganecho, I am planning a follow-up exhibition of <<A Cold Case File>> in collaboration with artist HwiHwi.

<What a Difference a Day Made> (2016), exhibited at the Koganecho Bazaar, is a photographic series capturing people of various ages and professions in Korea along with their collections of objects.

<Modern Love> (2017), a short film screened at the Cannes Film Festival, explores a future virtual reality game. Set in 2036, the film envisions a memory-based game called Modern Love that operates without any wearable devices. Players become addicted to a romance game built upon their own memories. The protagonist attempts to rewrite a failed love story, only to find themselves trapped in a repetitive cycle.

<Where the Three Flows Intersect> (2018), This work was exhibited at Life, Life by Ryuichi Sakamoto, held at Piknic Gallery in Seoul. The piece is themed around Sakamoto’s film scores and is a three-channel video installation that interweaves the flow of musician, film, and audience.

<That Obscure Object of Desire> (2018), exhibited in Taipei, is an experimental video inspired by karaoke videos. Through song-like lyrics, it narrates the artist’s personal growth and emotions regarding the political situation in their homeland, as observed from Japan.

<The Late Reply> (2019) is a short film that tells the story of a male artist who reflects on his past collaborations with female artists through a series of letters.

<Red Carpet> (2022) is a photographic series documenting large-scale real estate redevelopment areas in Seoul. It employs cinematic symbolism to satirically depict the intense battles between local residents, real estate developers, and municipal governments.

<Two> (2025) is an ongoing project and part of the upcoming exhibition <<A Cold Case File>>.
